Inspired Support
On Thursday afternoon we joined up with Inspired Support Football Academy, an innovative organisation which mentors people with Autism Spectrum Conditions and learning disabilities using motivational and inspiring environments that specialise in the digital, sport, football and creative industries. The event was hosted at Gateshead Stadium, the home of both Gateshead FC Foundation and Inspired Support Football Academy.
First team players Captain Scott Barrow and Heed icon JJ O’Donnell faced off against the Inspired support Football Academy players as in a FIFA 20 Playstation tournament with the Gateshead FC players just coming out on top by two games to one. The Gateshead FC players then spoke with the Inspired Support Academy players to speak about all things football and about their football careers so far.
This event was an introduction for everyone involved with Inspired Support and the Gateshead FC Foundation as we look to build a partnership going forward in to 2020. The Inspired Support Football academy are going to be part of the Gateshead FC Foundation Launch day with a half time football challenge at Saturday’s game.
