In the first week of December 2019, Gateshead Football Club Foundation was launched. We hosted events at Gateshead Stadium whilst also visiting other charities that we are going to be working alongside as we progress.
On Monday morning we, along with players and staff from the club, made a visit to Cedars Trust School in Low Fell.
Later the same morning our trustees, alongside General Manager Alisha Henry, visited Cleveland Hall to see the Walking Football event that is run by the Stroke Association.
On Tuesday evening our trustees and Rooney the Goat visited the Gateshead Foodbank to see the incredible work done by staff and volunteers.
On Thursday afternoon we joined up with Inspired Support Football Academy, an innovative organisation which mentors people with Autism Spectrum Conditions and learning disabilities.
If U Care Share
We were visited by Symone and Abbey who are from the Mental Health charity If U Care Share, on Thursday afternoon.
Saturday 7 December was launch day, we had a foodbank collection at the stadium, and teams from Inspired Support having a crossbar challenge on the pitch at half time.
