Gateshead Football Club are pleased to welcome Luke Brown as a community activator with Gateshead FC Foundation.

The Gateshead FC Academy graduate spent last season playing for Matty Pattison’s under-19 side, with his performances landing him on the radar of the first-team coaching staff.

Brown will be working as an apprentice under community officer and former Gateshead captain and manager, Ben Clark, in order to assist Gateshead FC Foundation in supporting the local community.

“On behalf of all the trustees I am delighted to welcome Luke to the Foundation,” said Head of Trustees, Alan Weddle.

“Luke will be working with Ben Clark to deliver some exciting projects in our community.

“He has already gained a lot of knowledge and skills through the Gateshead FC Academy, and this new role will help him develop even further.

“We are all looking forward to working with him.”
